but they are animals that Squall encounters along
the way, and they can prove to be quite helpful...

Moomba
One of the many evolvements a Shumi might experience,
these guys are affectionate and loyal.
They can be summoned to attack in battle by using a "Friendship". |
Chicobo
A baby form of the common transportation animals called Chocobos,
these little fellas can be summoned to attack by luring them with Gysahl Greens.
One chicobo named Boko stars in his own Mini Game on Pocketstation
called Chocobo World. |
Mog Moogle
Though alumni of the Final Fantasy series,
they barely make an appearance in VIII.
Their main role is that of MiniMog,
Boko's companion in Chocobo World.
Besides, they're just so dang cute! |
Angelo
Rinoa's faithful canine companion!
Angelo learns several skills throughout the game, from finding items on the battleground,
to reviving hurt party members, to making your entire party invincible!
